“I am here on earth for just a little while.” -Psalm 119:19 (TEV)
Life is described as a mist, a fast runner, a breath, and a wisp of smoke. This is so true, God warns us to not get too attached to what’s around us because it is temporary.
“The things we see now are here today, gone tomorrow. But the things we can’t see now will last forever.”
Finir! Done revamping my blog title and my tumblr page. Changing my title blog is a lot of headaches. However, I have decided to return my previous title blog to make it more creative the one that I used before.

As always me, my nanay (mom) and my youngest brother Rjay used to bonding together in the kitchen most of our time. Perhaps staying in the kitchen for most of my hour is a bad idea because I crave a lot and eat a lot. Yay! But that’s okay. Well, of course including chit-chatting and laughing together as part of our bonding moments in the kitchen, cooking is also one of our bonding activities. Fun! I’m now getting interested in cooking. Good for me. But it is not the thing why I suddenly post in here.
I’d like to share what we’ve talked last night because it was significance to me and perhaps part of my purpose. And also I wanted to know their opinions and pretty curious how they responds to my question.
I asked them exactly this question, ”Why many people grow older but never grow up?” (actually millions of people)
Nanay (Mom) answer after a few minutes she said, “Ganun talaga.” then hardly laughed. While my youngest brother said, “That’s life.”
My answer to this question is because many people do not intend to grow up. As what I’ve read from a book, “millions Christian of people grow older but never grow up. they stuck in perpetual spiritual infancy, remaining in diapers and booties. The reason is that they never intended to grow.” It is related to my previous post Growing Up into Maturity.
It is actually in the Bible says, ”We are not meant to remain as children.” from Ephesians 4:14
Have you asked yourself this ”Am I really grown up?” If you can answer this question perhaps you are but not completely. Again and again, as what I’ve said from my previous post, Spiritual Maturity is a long, slow and gradual process of growth. That is why God gave us the opportunity to transform ourselves in developing Christlikeness and we completely grow.
What is Christlikeness? Christlikeness is the character of Christ. When we all develop the character of Jesus that is the time you can say that you’re really grown up into maturity. It takes time and effort to develop all these Christlikeness. You might ask yourself, ‘It is impossible.’ Nope! You’re absolutely wrong, with God nothing is impossible.
Here’s how to do that, this is just the first step towards in Christlikeness. Lets start first in our minds, how think. “Changing the way we think.” We are commanded to “think the same way that Christ Jesus thought” There are two parts of doing this. First half of this mental shift, “stop thinking immature thoughts”, which are self-centered and self-seeking.
Most of us were born selfish, admit it or not. “Babies by nature are completely selfish. They think only of themselves and their own needs. They are incapable of giving; they can only receive. That is immature thinking. Unfortunately, many people never grow beyond that kind of thinking.”
The Bible says, that selfish thinking is the source of sinful behavior: ”Those who live following their sinful selves think only about things that their sinful selves want.”
Second half of thinking like Jesus is to “start thinking maturely”, which focuses on others, not yourself. Thinking of others, as Jesus did, instead of ourselves.
All of these two takes a lot of effort to develop our growth. And you must be ready to face whatever test God might give you because I assure you God will really test you a lot like how God testing my character everyday. I say to you, If you really love Jesus and you want to be with him forever do as I’ve told you. It is never too late but procrastination is not good at all. I am praying that we all grow like an oak tree. It takes years.

“For God has planted them like strong and graceful oaks for his own glory.” -Isaiah 61:3
If you want to know more about this, don’t hesitate to ask me questions. I’m always open to converse with you. シ
”When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.” -Apostle Paul
Can you answer my questions, Why many people grow older but never grow up?
This is the glory of God. Magnificent! ♥
Summer! Yes, summer is really hot.. hot.. hot!
My former colleague introduced me these different kinds of unique and delicious Korean ice cream. We used to buy Korean food at Nule Mart after work. It is a Korean store where located in Ortigas.
Yes, I love Korean food! I like anything about Korea. And Koreans are close to my heart because of my Korean students and my former Korean Managers who are very nice and friendly.
But do you know that Koreans are not just fashionable and creative. Even in ice cream, Koreans are evidently creative. Have you tried waffer ice cream? Have you heard or tried “Condom ice cream”? Well, perhaps it is only in Korea.

I heard someone says she’s mature enough to face everything. I was quit in doubt when I heard her because she was too young. Honestly, I am still in the process of spiritual growth and maturity. Actually, it takes a long and slow process until we perfectly become mature. Spiritual growth in not automatic. We must know how “Discipleship” is.
”We are not meant to remain as children.” -Ephesians 4:14
The word grow up from the dictionary is to expand, to increase or to develop. In other words it is a process in which we become mature and that’s how we grow. Likewise in maturity, it is not just physical changes or mental changes.. the way we think.. the way we respond to problems, circumstances.. heartbreaks..life experiences etc.
Yes, we are indeed growing up too fast as days, months and years pass by but everyone goes through the same stage like you. It has no different from what others experience.
“God wants us to grow up.. like Christ in everything.” -Ephesians 4:15
Sadly, many people grow older but never grow up and they never intended to grow. They are selfish, greedy, unloving, self will, childish acts etc. I have to admit that when I was a kid I was too selfish. I always think of myself more. I don’t care about others. I didn’t even share my food to others. I am selfish! But now everything has changed when I got to know Jesus.

“Babies by nature are completely selfish. They think only of themselves and their own needs. They are incapable of giving; they can only receive. that is immature thinking. Unfortunately, many people never grow beyond that kind of thinking.” -The Purpose Driven Life
Spiritual maturity is a gradual, progressive development. It takes a lot of effort to become mature perfectly. Until we understand that growing into maturity is about abiding in God’s Word, a living sacrifice, faithfulness, to love one another, unselfishness, when we are transformed by the Truth, Trouble and not to commit any sin.. we become mature and well-developed.
When we know how to response to people in kindness, when you learn how to love one another by putting some unloving people around us, irritating, selfish, greedy people around us but still love and accept them no matter how bad they are. By being unselfish, giving up your selfish will and sacrificing your own self for the sake of others, thinking of yourself less and thinking more of others, serving others. This is how our spiritual grow in Christ-likeness. That is the great opportunity for us to grow in maturity and following Jesus our Saviour. :)
It is never too late to start growing. Let’s all grow together in Christlikeness.
TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY!
This isn’t some tan girl covered in makeup with perfectly straight hair and a perfect smile. This is a girl with Pfeiffer Syndrome, who has had bangs her whole life to hide her forehead and struggles everyday to be okay with looking this way. She’s had several surgeries and will have a couple more. she can’t wear makeup much, her eyes are sensitive. Her jaw is misaligned. Her forehead is too thick and has to be shaven down. Her cheekdowns have to be moved forward by surgery. when she was four she had something called a ‘halo’ which was a metal circle screwed into her skull and jaw.
though she fought through it medically, she struggles everyday with the emotional sideeffects. she doesn’t look like her family or her friends. she may never look normal. she has depression and eating issues because of what she has had to accept about herself. she has done awful things to be pretty.
nobody ever sees her without makeup or without bangs.
until now.
She, is me.
and if I make your blog ugly, than don’t reblog this. but if you can be one of the few people in my life who I know are fully comfortable with it, than reblog this so people know.
you are beautiful. even if you don’t realize it, you are. everyone is,
I will ♥ U.

Many people are driven by materialism.
Their desire to acquire becomes the goal of their lives. This drive to always want more is based on the misconceptions that having more will make us more happy, more important, and more secure, but all three ideas are untrue. Possessions only provide temporary happiness. Because things do not change, we eventually become bored with them and then want newer, bigger, better versions.
It’s also a myth that if you get more, you will be more important. Self-worth and net worth are not the same. Your value is not determined by your valuables, and God says the most valuable things in life are not things!
The most common myth about money is that having more will make us more secure. It won’t. Wealth can be lost instantly through a variety of uncontrollable factors. *Real security can only be found in that which can never be taken from you - your relationship with God.
So, ask yourself which is more important to you?
